Portuguese Startup Litehaus Announces AI Platform for Construction Sector

The Portuguese technology startup Litehaus has announced the upcoming launch of a new platform powered by an Artificial Intelligence agent, developed specifically for the residential construction industry. This PropTech innovation, which will be made available to the public in October 2025, is designed to streamline and simplify the process of building a home in Portugal. The company's announcement details a system that combines proprietary technology with external integrations to cater to the specific requirements of architectural and construction projects.

The platform's specific technology solutions and applications are extensive. It will provide users with a suite of tools to manage the entire construction process, from conception to completion. The system's capabilities include identifying suitable builders, processing applications for bank financing, managing the submission of licenses and approvals to municipal authorities, and locating ideal plots of land for new construction. This integrated approach aims to address common pain points and inefficiencies in the traditional construction process, offering significant user benefits and efficiency improvements.

The market adoption and industry integration of this technology have already shown promise. The launch of the AI agent follows the successful implementation of a preliminary feature on the company's website called “Get a Quote in 2 Minutes.” This tool generated 640 instant quotes, representing a potential project pipeline of over 125 million euros, indicating strong market interest. “We are completely reinventing the way houses are built in Portugal,” said co-founder Thibault Launay, emphasizing the company's goal to make building a home as straightforward as purchasing an existing one.

The development of the platform has been accelerated by a recent investment round of 1.46 million euros, which saw participation from the Portuguese fund Explorer Investments and the UK-based Cornerstone VC. Founded in 2024, Litehaus also plans to incorporate modern construction methods such as 3D printing and modular building, which it claims will reduce costs by 30%, shorten timelines by 40%, and improve sustainability by 60%. This digital transformation of the construction process represents a significant step forward for the real estate industry in Portugal.
