MAP Engenharia Completes Jardins Altear I and II Residential Projects in Alta de Lisboa
The construction and engineering firm MAP Engenharia e Construção, part of the MAP Group, has announced the completion of the Jardins Altear I and II residential developments. The project, located in the Alta de Lisboa area, was developed by Solyd Property Developers and adds 126 new apartments to the Lisbon housing market. This area is currently experiencing significant growth and private investment in urban requalification, positioning it as a new, balanced, and green-focused central district within the capital, designed to enhance the well-being of its residents.
The project specifications detail a total gross construction area of 30,648 square meters. This space accommodates 126 apartments with typologies ranging from one-bedroom (T1) to four-bedroom (T4). In addition to the residential units, the development includes nine commercial spaces on the ground floor and 254 private parking spaces for residents. According to the announcement, market uptake has been exceptionally strong, with only one 183-square-meter T4 apartment remaining for sale in the Jardins Altear I building.
Diogo Abecassis, co-CEO and founder of the MAP Group, described the project’s conclusion as a “strategic milestone for MAP.” He stated, “This project illustrates our ability to execute and deliver large-scale projects that prioritize quality.” He also credited the successful completion to the collaborative efforts of MAP’s technical team with the client, supervisors, and project designers. The architectural design was handled by PG Arquitectos Associados, who focused on attention to detail, acoustic and thermal comfort, and maximizing natural light within the apartments.
The development also features a range of modern amenities in its common areas, designed to meet the demands of a contemporary urban lifestyle. These facilities include a fully equipped gymnasium, a multipurpose room suitable for events or co-working, and decorated entrance lobbies. Furthermore, the project incorporates a garden and outdoor space, providing residents with an area for relaxation and leisure. These features are intended to promote a sense of community and well-being among those living in the development.
Tiago Belo, the Chief Operating Officer of the developer Solyd, affirmed that Jardins Altear represents the “continuity of the developer's commitment to developing differentiated residential projects.” He emphasized that such projects contribute to the overall development of the city and are designed to “prioritize the quality of life for Portuguese families.” The successful completion and sale of the Jardins Altear apartments reflect the high demand for new, quality housing in Lisbon, particularly in emerging areas like Alta de Lisboa that offer modern amenities and a focus on a balanced lifestyle.
The project was executed with secured financing and all necessary regulatory approvals and planning permissions from the Lisbon municipality. The construction process adhered to high-quality standards and methodologies, contributing to the project's appeal. The development is expected to have a positive local economic impact, not only through the initial construction phase but also by creating a vibrant new residential community. The market interest and rapid sales underscore the current dynamics of Lisbon's real estate market, where demand for well-located, modern housing continues to outpace supply.
