Habitat Invest Launches 'HorizOn Tejo' Residential Project in Santos, Lisbon
The developer Habitat Invest has announced the completion of its latest residential condominium, HorizOn Tejo, located on Calçada Marquês de Abrantes in the Santos district of Lisbon. The project involved the rehabilitation and expansion of a historic building, resulting in a modern development with a gross area of approximately 2,500 square meters. The project's financing was secured through a partnership with a major Portuguese bank.
The project specifications include eight apartments, with layouts ranging from one-bedroom (T1) to five-bedroom (T5) units. The apartment sizes vary from 38 to 245 square meters. A key feature of the development is the inclusion of generous terraces and private swimming pools for several of the units, all designed to offer exclusive views of the Tagus River and the city. The original facade and architectural characteristics of the historic building have been preserved.
The architectural design was created by the firm Ricardo Carvalho Arquitectos & Associados. The construction was carried out by MAP Engenharia e Construção, which implemented advanced engineering solutions to manage the site's challenging topography, including the construction of a peripheral containment structure to accommodate a two-level underground car park. All necessary planning permissions and regulatory approvals were obtained from the Lisbon municipal authorities prior to construction.
Luís Corrêa de Barros, the Founder & CEO of Habitat Invest, stated in a press release, "With HorizOn Tejo, our objective was to offer more than just housing: a dialogue between quality of life and urban authenticity." The completion of HorizOn Tejo adds a new high-end residential option to the Santos neighborhood, an area that has seen significant regeneration and investment in recent years.
